How an old Goderich salt mine could one day save you money on your hydro bill

We have launched the world’s first zero-emission advanced compressed air storage facility in Goderich, Ontario.
Located in a former salt cavern, the facility captures surplus energy, storing it for later use without consuming any other fuel.
Using excess electricity during off-peak hours, the facility charges up by compressing air, which is then released to generate power when needed.
With a capacity to power 2,000 homes for five hours, the facility offers a cost-effective solution to Ontario’s high electricity bills.
Despite challenges in the province’s energy landscape, we remain optimistic about the long-term potential of its technology and is expanding operations overseas.
