Hydrostor (hydrostor.ca) is a global leader in Advanced Compressed Air Energy Storage (A-CAES) and the high growth energy storage sector. It is on the cusp of a significant expansion, both domestically and internationally. It presently has operations in Canada, and expects significant expansion into the US and Australia in the coming months, with further expansion internationally as a number of new projects come on line and are developed. It has a young and dynamic team. The successful individual in this position will require the independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload to provide reliable, timely, and efficient support to the company.

  • Answer and transfer all telephone calls accordingly and in professional manner. Record and relay information to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Greet and direct all visitors friendly and accordingly
  • Prepare and reconcile executive expense reports
  • Coordinate and organize meetings, conference calls, video conferences, and net meetings and their related materials as required
  • Monitor and ensure office equipment (e.g. photocopiers, conferencing tool, etc.) is operational
  • Coordinate and order office supplies, stationary and business cards as directed
  • Manage all mail and couriers, including but not limited to preparing courier packages, coordinating pick-up and delivery, confirming delivery/receipt with appropriate stakeholders, and resolving any related issues in a timely manner
  • Perform clerical or administrative duties as needed such as filing, attendance records and other related support duties.
  • Assist to enter POs, data or information as required
  • Maintain the meeting rooms, ensuring they are clean, tidy, and ready for use
  • Maintain the kitchen, ensuring they and related amenities are clean, in stock, and ready for use
  • Assisting the manager and various departments with administrative work
  • Assist in planning social functions
  • Liaise with building management on maintenance issues as directed
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned
  • Post-Secondary education with 2 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in MS Windows and MS Office, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English (Reading/Writing/Speaking/Comprehension)
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Have a positive professional attitude, and able to work well independently with an ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and able to adapt and prioritize, meeting deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
